Please let me invite you on behalf of the Englische Seminar at the RUB to a talk by Mark Fisher (Goldsmiths College, London). He is the author of Capitalist Realism (2009) and writes about music, theory and film for Frieze, The Wire and Film Quarterly among others.
Mark Fisher will be talking about the central hypotheses from Capitalist Realism and how events such as the G20 protests in 2009 and the student protests in 2010 have altered the dominant ideology of contemporary Britain.
